FAQ

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a compound found in cannabis that, unlike THC, has no psychotic effect. Despite the fact that this compound does not cause the so-called high, it definitely caused a stir in the medical community, therapists as well as among those suffering from many diseases, to whom CBD can bring so long-awaited relief or support existing methods of treating such diseases as e.g. chronic pain, neoplastic diseases, Crohn's syndrome, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic stress disorder, cardiovascular diseases, anxiety, antibiotic resistant infections, schizophrenia, depression and many others. CBD works in the human body on many levels, influencing many processes taking place in it. The preclinical and clinical studies conducted so far show that CBD has a strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiepileptic, antidepressant, antipsychotic, neuroprotective and leads to the reduction of tumors. CBD can modify gene expression and remove amyloid plaque from nerve cells that is responsible for the development of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.

CBD oil is called an extract obtained from hemp flowers. It is characterized by the predominant amount of CBD in the composition and not THC - in Poland, the maximum allowable concentration of THC is 0.2%. The extract is obtained by three basic methods:

  • extraction with solvents such as butane, hexane, ethanol or isopropyl.
  • extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide
  • the oldest method and at the same time the least efficient, i.e. extraction in oil (usually olive oil or coconut oil)

CBD oils differ mainly in the degree of processing, cannabinoid profile and terpene content.

Most CBD products are taken orally as drops under the tongue, where they should be held for about a minute and then swallowed. CBD ointments are also effective, which can be successfully replaced with CBD oil, which usually has a higher concentration of CBD, and thus has a stronger surface effect.

Yes. CBD oil is legal in Poland if the THC content does not exceed 0.2%. Essenz brand oils meet this condition.

Yes. CBD is a safe substance. Previous studies, conducted both on humans and animals, have shown that CBD is a compound safe to use, which also increases its therapeutic potential. CBD has also been studied at an angle m side effects - no serious effects were shown apart from incidental slowness and nausea. Daily doses of up to 1500 mg have been well tolerated by humans. CBD has no narcotic effects in humans or animals. CBD can interact with medications. CBD is metabolized with the participation of the cytochromatic P450 enzyme system. Therefore, it may lead to an increase or decrease in the blood and concentration of metabolites of drugs broken down in the liver.

Based on data from in vitro studies, an inhibitory effect of p-glycoprotein in the intestine under the influence of CBD cannot be ruled out. Therefore, caution is advised during concomitant treatment with digoxin and other medicinal products that are substrates for p-glycoprotein. Medicinal products with hypnotic, sedative and sedative properties should be used with caution due to a possible additive sedative and muscle relaxant effect.

The main difference is the permissible THC content in the plant. Cannabis is characterized by high concentrations of THC, while the permissible THC content in hemp varies, depending on local legislation, from a maximum of 0.2% to 0.5%. Apart from being a source of legal CBD oil, hemp is also a material in many industries, e.g. in the paper, textile, food and even construction industries.

CBD itself does not have a psychoactive effect and the concentration of THC in the oil is below 0.2%, so consumption of CBD oil does not cause a state commonly known as "high". CBD is not an intoxicant, but it is misleading to refer to CBD as a non-psychoactive substance. When a patient with clinical depression takes a low dose of a high-CBD sublingual spray or oil and feels great for the first time in a long time, it's obvious that CBD is a mood-altering compound. Better to say "CBD is not psychoactive like THC" than to simply say that CBD is not psychoactive. CBD will not make you feel like you are so-called. high, but it can have a positive effect on a person's psyche.

When used prophylactically, the recommended dose is 2-3 times a day, 2-4 drops under the tongue. It is recommended to increase the dose until the desired effect is achieved. In most cases, doses of 10-50 mg of CBD per day are sufficient, although higher doses are also used.

Essenz oil is not post-treated after supercritical CO2 extraction. For this reason, all compounds found naturally in the plant remain unchanged in our extract. Chlorophyll, which is responsible for the green color of our oil, has many therapeutic values in itself. Chlorophyll is a substance that has been found to have healing properties in anemia. In addition, chlorophyll supports the work of our organs, especially the thyroid and adrenal glands, supports the cleansing of the body and has a strong antioxidant effect.

Butter, olive oil or coconut oil with the addition of cbd oil are perfect for cooking.

Yes. There are thousands of medical / scientific studies on how CBD works. You can find them all on the ProjectCBD website - research texts in English.

Yes. CBD oil or ointment, applied topically, has a soothing effect and even eliminates the symptoms of skin diseases. It is recommended for people suffering from psoriasis, eczema, atopic dermatitis and acne.

When consuming good quality CBD oil, this should not be the case. Studies have shown that only a man who consumes 6 mg of THC during the day has a 25% chance of a positive drug test. In the case of the Polish standard for allowable THC content at 0.2% THC, you would need to consume about 3000 mg of legal CBD oil in one day, which translates to about 30 ml.

CBD has a neuroprotective effect and promotes the regeneration of nerve cells. It has not been shown to stimulate or increase the efficiency of the nervous system.

At present, CBD oil is mainly available online, in herbal stores, in health food stores, and in stores specializing in the sale of hemp products and in pharmacies.

Research has shown that not only humans are equipped with an endocannabinoid system. Most vertebrates have it as well, including cats and dogs. This similarity has led to the conclusion that our pets can also benefit from the beneficial effects of CBD supplementation. Research on the effects of CBD on our pets' organisms is currently in the early stages. The test is min. effect in the treatment of epilepsy and osteoporosis in dogs. CBD products have a general health-promoting effect. CBD is a natural product that can be successfully used as a healthy addition to the diet of our four-legged friend.

CBD fed to animals should be obtained from hemp, not from cannabis. CBD obtained from both varieties is the same compound, but the obtained extract differs significantly in the content of psychoactive THC. Administering psychoactive substances to animals is neither legal nor safe - it will therefore be advisable to use CBD obtained from hemp in supplementation, which, together with other substances present at that time, is not dangerous for the animal.

CBD oil or a snack is easy to serve. As for humans, the dose cannot be accurately determined, although it should be much smaller considering the differences in body weight.

When reading about CBD, we often fail to notice that it comes in two forms: the acid form of CBDa and the form devoid of the carboxyl group (-COOH) of CBD. The acid form of CBD (cannabidiolic acid) occurs naturally in the plant at a much higher concentration than CBD. Overall, CBDa is a precursor to CBD, and just like CBD, it has no psychoactive effects. In the past, CBDa was considered a compound that did not have any specific effect in the human body, but with the progress of research, this position has changed. The health-promoting effects of CBD are still not fully explored

Cannabidiolic acid (CBDa) is converted into CBD through a process called decarboxylation. Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction catalyzed by heat, during which the carboxylic acid group (-COOH) is detached from the CBD and carbon dioxide (CO2) is released. In simple terms, heating turns CBD into CBD.

golden CBD oil, the extract must undergo a complex filtration process, during which all other substances, apart from cannabinoids, naturally occurring in cannabis (including chlorophyll and plant waxes) are removed from the solution.
